Meet  the Owner...

Meet Mandy, the baker, designer, freeze dry extraordinaire and proud owner of  The

Treat Factory.  She started her business in 2020 in order to create a schedule that could circle around her smaller children and family needs.  In January of 2020 she  opened the doors to her first business, Cake Envy.   Specializing in sculpted cakes with a large focus being on more intimate, smaller group caking/baking classes.  This would not prove to be a recipe for success, as we all know what happened shortly after this date.  As a result she needed to make so quick changes to her original vision.

 

Being quick to adapt, over the next few years she continually made changes to her products and services offered based by observing and listening to the wants and needs of her customers and keeping up with the latest trends in real time. She eventually pivoted and landed on more day to day confections and thus The Treat Factory was born.   

 

"Freeze dry candies and confections have quite litrally saved my business.  It was a pretty scary reality to have spent so much of our family savings on a dream that seemed destined to come crashing down before I even began to build it.   Not only did it keep my business above water, it also afforded me the opportunity to expand and do a little of a lot of things I am interested in doing like cakes, cookies, chocolates and holiday baskets.  If anything I have realized this to be an opportunity to expand creativity and learn some new skills along the way."
